A gorgeous type, First Dance was enthusiastically received at the Hanoverian licensing because of his perfectly cadenced rhythm and hindquarter powered movements that flow through his whole body, characteristics that made him one of the hottest offers at the following stallion market.
His sire, Florestan I, has long since earned the reputation of a trademark stallion with his more than 70 licensed sons, including the dressage horse World Champions, Florencio I and French Kiss, more than 170 State Premium mares and countless sport horses such as Floriano/Steffen Peters/USA, the dressage team bronze medal winner at the WEG 2006 in Aachen.
First Dance is the first foal out of St.Pr.St. Dorina, a mare who took the IA prize each year from 2003 to 2006 at the show in Aurich-Tannenhausen. The dam's sire, Donnerhall, stands for the successful symbiosis of breeding and sport. A double World Champion in dressage twice under Karin Rehbein, he left more than 100 licensed sons behind. By the end of 2006, his off-spring in sport had won more than 1.5 million Euro.
The granddam, St.Pr.St. Andi, produced the auction horses Wonderfull (by Wanderbursch II), a State Premium candidate, Wolkentänzerin (by Wolkentanz), as well as her full sister, Wina, who was also a State Premium candidate, and St.Pr.St. Rubina (by Rubinstein).

In the third generation you find the valuable Thoroughbred stallion, Aarking, a very successful race horse from the age of two to seven with a German time form of 82.5 kilos. Four of his sons were licensed. The Aarking son, Aarcatenango placed at the 1993 Bundeschampionat final in Mannheim and was then sold for 180,000 D-Mark at the Hanoverian Elite Auction. Amonassro was sold in 1998 for 220,000 D-Mark at the P.S.I. Auction. His son, Andretti H/Hubertus Schmidt and Holga Finken, won Grand Prix, including the Grand Prix of Bremen.
First Dance's dam line is also known for the M-level dressage horses, Quintus (by the Thoroughbred Quick Star), Amadeus (by Absatz) and Happy Day (by Grenadier). |
