Lancet is a first class dressage sire, possessing three paces which are head and shoulder above those seen in other horses. His marks for rideability are exceptional and as a young horse he already showed some of the repertoire of the most advanced tests. Lancet has won several international competitions and was the ambassador of the Dutch Olympic team in Athens 2004, then ridden by Imke Schellekens-Bartels. There, the pair came in 11th in the individuals and 4th in the team.

Lancet has a superb pedigree (Wenzel I x Shogun xx) and was born at Stedebergen, a Hanoverian breeding station. His sire, Wenzel I, produced the highest priced auction horses at Verden and several German National champions. Probably the most well-known prodigy of Wenzel I is Walk On Top, ridden by Louise Nathorst, Sweden. The dam sire was the classy Thoroughbred Shogun, and his style is easily recognized in Lancet.

The dam pedigree of Lancet is also of the highest quality. Grandmother Anika is the full sister of the dam which produced the well known stallions Argentan I (stationed at the Celle state stud and Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 1994) and Argentan II. They are represented in many pedigrees of horses which have won numerous breeding shows, such as the DLG-winning mare Gold Lady whose cousins Frenchman I (Celle state stud ) and Frenchman II are very sought after breeding stallions.

Lancet also has close family connections to Sinclair B (USA) and Western Star (Celle state stud). The latter is the most important prodigy of Wenzel I. This breeding line is known under the number 8777 and has produced the first class half brothers Calvin and Cantus as well as the stallion Lansing (Holstein). All of these are top class show jumping sires.

Lancet was previously used solely in the Netherlands for the KWPN. He sired several premium mares as well as currently up-and-coming competition horses.

Haras du L.H. is very proud to be able to offer this fantastic stallion for breeding.
